I want to welcome everybody back to my blog. I chose to remain silence on issues concerning the nation team - The Super Eagles. I read so many comments from Nigerians on the web and i am really surprise by the response of our people to events surrounding the team. The team has been highly criticized, none of the coaches and the players were not spared.
suddenly, i am of the opinion that observers of the game may believe we Nigerians are trying to disown the team now that we don't have any star player and we are only trying to make excuses for eagles failure. No matter what we are expected to get behind our boys to encourage them.
Although, i agree that Amodu may not be the best of coaches and the team might have done better with the inclusion of younger players, i believe we still need to exercise some caution about what we say on the internet, the whole world is listening. when we the issues beyond football and making negative remarks about the country as a whole may come back to affect our image as a nation. when we say our government is ........... but we fail to realize that our government is the product of our society. what we say about our government affect the image of you and i outside the shores of the country. No matter what, the Yoruba proverb says and i quote " it is the bastard that points to is father's house with his left hand". Don't let us just criticize, rather let us make suggestions on how to do things right. I don't believe critics are heroes, i respect problem solvers more. many people can criticize but only few solve problems. There is no doubt that Nigeria has its peculiar problems just like any country in the world, nobody is coming to solve our problems for us. Nigeria's problem is going to be solve by Nigerians. If you are not satisfied with the present super Eagles team, let cast our vote and send to the NFF.
